The Vanderbilt Prize for
Undergraduate Research in
Physics and Astronomy

Description
The Department of Physics and Astronomy of Vanderbilt Unviersity invites all undergraduate students who are doing original research in Physics or Astronomy to apply for the Vanderbilt Prize for Undergraduate Research in Physics and Astronomy. The prize competition is open to students at all U.S. institutions.
Award
The award will be announced at a ceremony to be held at Vanderbilt Unviersity in Spring, 2006. The first prize winner will receive $1,000. All finalists will receive $500.
The following must be received by April 15, 2006:
- A summary of the resarch project (no more than 1500 words).
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty members or research advisors.
- An official copy of the student's transcript.
- The student's contact information for Spring 2006.
